Basic Organization

The 4M Foundation is managed by an executive director and a council. The director is elected for a one-year term. The director is responsible for long-term vision and day-to-day operations. The board approves a budget, acts as counsel and an accountability group to the director, and assists with fund-raising and mission leadership. An executive team operates on an ongoing basis, consisting of the director, administrative chair, operations chair, and development chair. Bios of the board and by-laws are available upon request.

Financial Management

4M accounts are managed by the accounting firm of William H. Polk of Batesville, PPA and BancorpSouth.   Bank and accounting firm are in monthly dialogue, and provide an accurate, dependable system for financial tracking and management. A copy of the latest financial statement is available upon request. Two accounts are used — one is the general account, used for undesignated gifts and covering administrative costs/salary and  fund-raising. The other is the 4M operations account, used for designated gifts and covering specific giving and projects. A service fee is applied to this account to help cover accounting costs, the amount of which is to be discussed and agreed upon with the donor.
